Bodhi Travel is currently managed under Druk Asia Pte Ltd and is a boutique travel line focusing on Buddhist-related destinations. Thus, all information provided by our travel hosts will be mainly focused on Buddhist philosophies, cultures, arts and customs. We can share about other relevant information (e.g. nature, food, landscape etc) when possible although those will not be our focus.

We welcome everyone from all religions and cultures to join our tours so that we can all learn about Buddhism and its influence on the destinations that we are travelling. We believe that cross-cultural and inter-religious sharing of knowledge will lead to more understanding, better inter-personal relationships, and greater peace and harmony.


Bodhi Travel Hosts

Unless otherwise stated, none of our travel hosts are monastics or Dharma teachers. While we are careful to ensure, to the best of our efforts, relevant and accurate Buddhist knowledge during the trips and travels, please bear in mind that our travel hosts are not Dharma teachers. Do let us know if there are areas for improvement and we welcome feedback from everyone to add to our knowledge.

Bodhi Travel is committed to the privacy of all our customers. This privacy and data protection policy notice is to inform all our customers of our practices in collecting, using and disclosure of personal information collected. By purchasing our travel products and services, participating on our social media platforms and filling in our online contact forms, our customers have given Bodhi Travel consent to collect, use and disclose all related personal information.

Related personal information may include but not limited to the following:
- Personal information, e.g. name, mailing address, email address, mobile number, birth date and passport details
- Payment-related information, e.g. credit card number, cardholder name, expiry date and billing address
- Travel-related information, e.g. dietary and other service preferences

The personal information collected may be used for but not limited to the following:
- Booking and confirmation of reservations for flights, tours, coach, and other travel-related services etc as and when required
- Communication with customers in relation to use of our products and services, e.g. email of travel itineraries, payment confirmation etc
- Marketing of new destinations


Protection of all collected personal information

All collected personal information will be protected to the best of our efforts against unauthorized access or loss. Access to all confidential information is restricted to selected employees only.


Retention of collected personal information

All collected personal information will be retained as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, the legal and business purposes of Bodhi Travel, and in compliance with applicable laws.


Changes to this privacy statement

Bodhi Travel reserves the right to make changes to this Privacy and Data Protection Policy at any time without notice. The Policy posted on our website will be the policy in effect. It is the responsibility of all customers to keep themselves updated on the Privacy and Data Protection Policy of Bodhi Travel.



Bodhi Travel collects personal information from all our customers when serving our customers. By using our services, consent to the use of personal information in accordance with this Policy is necessarily implied from our customers.

Terms and Conditions

  • All bookings are on first come first served basis.
  • All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation.
  • All bookings require a deposit (minimum 50% of your tour package price) upon confirmation.
  • Final payments must be made seven (7) calendar days before departure dates.
  • Failure to comply with any of our conditions may result in automatic cancellation of reservation and forfeiture of any payments.
  • Confirmation of all tour packages need to be made at least four (4) weeks before the departure dates.
  • Bodhi Travel reverses the right to make any changes to all itineraries without advance notice.
  • Bodhi Travel reserves the right to cancel any tour prior to departure date for any reasons, including but not limited to an insufficient numbers of tour participants. Bodhi Travel may, if it so decides, recommend alternative tours.
  • Please note that Bodhi Travel is acting as an agent for all tour services rendered. Even after deposit or full payment has been made, all tour arrangements are still subject to final confirmation. If due to some unforeseeable circumstances and tour arrangements cannot be finalised and the tour reservations have to be cancelled, Bodhi Travel will endeavour to notify our customers at least seven (7) working days before departure.
  • Should our customers decide not to accept the alternative tour arrangements, all refunds will be made accordingly by Bodhi Travel without further obligations from Bodhi Travel.
  • Payment may be made in Singapore Dollars by cash, cheques or bank transfer. Cheques will only be accepted if presented to the Company at least fourteen (14) working days prior to departure date.
  • Any special requests such as special meals, dietary requirements, adjoining rooms, accommodation requirements, etc. shall be communicated to Bodhi Travel upon making reservations. Please note, however, that such requests are subject to availability and confirmation by Bodhi Travel.
  • It is the responsibility of all our customers to ensure that their travel documents have at least 6 months’ validity at the point of travel.
  • All minors below 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.



  • All cancellations of tour reservations are required in writing via email to [email protected]. However, cancellation charges will apply and they are computed based on the length of notice period given prior to the departure. The cancellation fees as well as corresponding refund components are indicated at the cancellation/refund policies of each individual tour product.
  • Upon cancellation, Bodhi Travel will refund all deposits paid according to charges stipulated. All refunds will be paid within two (2) weeks to a month. However, during peak periods, refunds may take around six weeks to be made.


Change of booking

  • No refund will be made with respect to accommodation, meals, sightseeing tours or any other services included in the tour fare but not utilised by our customers, either in part or full, or where our customers amend, cancel or otherwise vary tour arrangements after commencement of the tours.


Flight Tickets (if applicable)

  • 18. No changes/refunds are allowed for air tickets once issued.
  • Fare quoted for air tickets are not guaranteed until the ticket(s) is issued and the air fare may be subjected to changes.
  • Booking/administration fees are applicable and non-refundable.
  • All flight bookings are deemed tentative and may be subject to auto-cancellation at any time, without any charges to you except for booking/administration Fees, unless the air tickets had been issued.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are your tours suitable for all travelers?

We welcome travelers of all ages our tours! However, there may be special tour arrangements required for them so do discuss with us on how best to make arrangements for them.


Do we need to be vegetarian during the tours?

Being vegetarian is a great way to exercise compassion and also save the environment. However, while going vegetarian during our heritage tours is encouraged, it is totally up to the individual to decide if he/she wishes to be vegetarian during the trip.


Can we consume alcohol during the tours?

Consumption of alcohol is discouraged during our tours but just like vegetarianism, it is an individual choice and we do not stop our travelers from partaking in alcohol during the trips. Kindly note we do not provide alcohol during our trips.


Is tipping compulsory?

If you think that our travel hosts are doing a good job, let them know by telling them! Tipping and gratuities are much appreciated but not expected from our hosts. Same goes for our drivers.


Do we need to give donation at temples?

Giving donation to temples is an individual act of dana (Sanskrit : generosity) and is really up to the individual to decide. We recommend giving to temples instead of individual monastics but again, it is your individual decision.


Do we need to purchase travel insurance?

Travel insurance is required for all our travelers (except for Singapore tours). We will help you to purchase travel insurance if required.


What can I do if cancellation is needed for my tour?

Please see our Terms and Conditions of sale with regards to all cancellation.


Can we choose our preferred hotels?

Yes, you can. We will check the availability of your preferred hotels for you if you have specific preference. Certain hotels may charge additional fee on top of the standard normal rate.


Can we further customize the itinerary?

Yes, you can! We will be able to adjust the itinerary according to your preference.
